They are raising $70M, closing June 30th, taking the fund from the existing $30MN up to $100MN. This raise lets the fund profit from the current 'buy low' market, is targeted at smaller institutions and good-sized family offices, and has a $2M minimum ticket size. If filled fully, Loyal will become closed to all new investments, including from existing investors, until late 2024-2025. Investors still have time to invest by participating in the March/April raise, which may also be the last opportunity to add new <$2M investors.
They are designed to deliver excess returns with reduced volatility through a unique gate-staged investing process, applied to a broadly diversified portfolio of 300+ investments. Operating at scale is enabled by Loyal's network of 1000+ colleagues & advisors. They also have signed partnerships with INSEAD and a top global accelerator for sourcing. The multi-year investing process is enabled by company's structure as an open-ended fund, with quarterly pricing and redemption possibilities for LPs.
